For Researchers

MOVE supports research through a partnership approach.

We support the sector by funding translational research that produces consumer-centred outcomes, including improved services and evidence-based information.

We work together with government, researchers and their academic institutions, professional bodies, industry groups and consumer organisations to translate the evidence into the clinic and community.

We also help facilitate greater collaboration and support for researchers in the musculoskeletal field.

Research Recruitment

We regularly receive requests from researchers to help identify participants in research projects or to become partners in research. As a consumer driven organisation we will assist with requests that align with  our vision and values.

Our role in recruitment to research:

We will promote new research projects and act as a conduit to recruit potential study participants for research projects that have been approved by a recognised Australian Human Research Ethics Committee. We will not approach consumers individually, nor will we release consumer details to researchers.

The following communication channels may be used to promote your research project:

  • our website and social media

  • our magazine for members  Update

  • a bundled package – combining website and  Update magazine advertisements.

Eligibility criteria

We will promote research projects that demonstrate:

the importance and relevance to consumers and carers in the context of musculoskeletal health

that the research is ethically sound and has ethics approval from an Australian Human Research Ethics Committee that adheres to the  NHMRC guidelines on conducting ethical research
