Are you interested in talking with people, and helping them access general information about their condition? Our Help Line volunteers take calls from the public about arthritis, osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal conditions.

When you work in the Help Line you'll talk to a wide range of people, from children with school projects, to people with a musculoskeletal condition wanting to know more about things they can do to manage it, to the general public wanting to know more about these conditions.

Our Help Line operates from our office in Elsternwick, and we ask that volunteers commit to a weekly or fortnightly shift of three hours. We run regular training sessions for people interested in becoming a Help Line volunteer.

Do you enjoy speaking in public and sharing information? Are you interested in learning more about arthritis, osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal conditions, and sharing this with community groups?

If so, we are looking for volunteers to join our Community Speakers Program.

Our team of enthusiastic community speakers last year gave presentations to over 4,000 in retirement villages, service clubs, fitness centre and other venues.

We provide training for new volunteers and regular updates throughout the year, so if you enjoy the spotlight, why not consider a community speaking role with us?

Administrative jobs are often not seen as being glamorous roles, but they are one of the most important. Our office volunteers help us do everything from getting newsletters in the mail, to photocopying our information sheets, keeping databases up to date, calling members and much more. It is the support that they provide which enable staff to focus on our programs and services.

We are looking for people interested in working in the following areas:

  • general office work

  • data entry phone calling (not sales)

Your ability to be organised and offer a regular time every week could make a real difference to our work.

If one of these volunteer roles caught your eye, and you’d like to find out more, please contact us on 03 8531 8000 or download an application form.
